That would work as an answer, yes. [He'll treat Will as a complete stranger for now, until he has managed to figure out what happened, or did not happen, or ...is.]
[Will looks at the other boy sharply. He hadn't... but he knew that he would soon. According to the grail prophecy, Wales was the site of his next task.]
[Will pauses for a long moment. This was indeed a surprise. But then, everything about this boy seemed to be surprising. If he could only touch his senses as an Old One now. In this moment, as in other meetings in Discedo, he felt deaf and blind. Finally the boy responds thoughtfully.]
I have been told that when more than one person comes here from a world, that more often than not they may be drawn from different points in Time.
This is outside our normal world? [It's not really a question, though, more like Will just confirmed something that he already knew. There's a hint of frustration in his voice; gaining something and losing it the next minute is never nice, but if it is something like this...
-If will is right about the times.] Is Cafall here?
[And Will, remembering the other boy's strange eyes - like Herne's eyes - and the words of the prophecy, feels a sudden sense of certainty.]
You are the Raven Boy. And the Pendragon.
[He hesitates, uncertain how to continue. For now he could not feel the path he needed to take. He was little more than human. It was strange, speaking to this boy who obviously knew him, without knowing so many things. How had they met? What was his task?]
I suppose I don't. [Will says calmly. He tilts his head and observes the other boy seriously.] And a pleasure it is to meet you, Bran Davies. Again and for the first time.
I need to try and photoshop his eyebrows. They irk me |D
I haven't been able to learn much. This world, Fortuna, was once filled with people much as our own world is. They had wars and culture and history, much as any country might have. But something happened, and a disease or a plague came to this world. One they could not fight. There are very few of the original inhabitants of this world left now.
Only the scientists, who built a machine to bring people from other worlds to rebuild this city, and the people of another country who attacked a few weeks ago.
It is possible, I think. I have met some, here, that claim to use power from darkness. And the Dark is here in the hearts of men, as it always is.
But I don't know for sure. [He continues miserably.] The scientists here, they have developed a way to block the powers of those they bring here. Even the nature of an Old One. I can feel nothing of the Dark nor of the will of the Light.
Perhaps. But if it is, it is unlike any test I have ever heard of.There have been no riddles and no puzzles. No actions to take and no one sitting in judgement. Of all I have spoken to here, only two have known of the Light. And neither knew of anything more.
...it makes no sense. [Suddenly, the frustration of a completely normal teenager. When he saw Will, he thought that he would find answers now, and he turned out to know nearly as little as himself. The moment of hope that flashed through his mind, that if there are different times here, maybe Cafall would be here, is gone now, too.]
No, it doesn't. [Will wished he had some answers to offer. But he had none. Only the wisdom of his kind, that waiting for the right moment to reveal itself was sometimes all you could do. But that would be cold comfort for a human, he knew.]

Not recently, I don't think.

There's a tiny shrug, as if he wasn't too concerned about that. He is, but he would rather not show it.]
I seriously need to reread the part where they meet to get Will's reactions down better

[Will frowns. Another name that sang with familiarity. But one he knew that he had never met.] Until now, I have seen no others from my world here.

Am I to be the Merlin to your Arthur, then?

You really don't change, Will Stanton, do you? [No, you won't get a real answer.] My name is Bran Davies.

okay, opinion time. Is the icon okay or should I better not alter them?
I kind of like the altered eyes. It really gives a sense of how strange he looks.
